Buterin on The Surge: Ethereum Will Become Faster

Vitalik Buterin announced an Ethereum update called The Surge, aimed at increasing transaction processing speed to 100,000 transactions per second while maintaining decentralization. Currently, Ethereum processes only 12-15 transactions per second.

Key Objectives of The Surge:

Buterin also highlighted the need to reduce transaction fees, which average $4.30 on Ethereum, while competitors like Binance Smart Chain charge only $0.12. The main goal is to unify the ETH ecosystem so that users feel like part of a single platform.
