According to Allaire, the use of stablecoins can reduce the costs of remittances and ensure smooth cross-border trade.

The Circle CEO's position confirms the predictions of some analysts, who believe that the stablecoin market will reach $1 trillion by 2030. Currently, the stablecoin market capitalization is $162 billion.

This is only 0.2% of the entire money supply, which is estimated at $80 trillion. For Circle’s CEO’s prediction to come true and stablecoins account for 10% of the world’s money, the asset market must grow by 47.7% annually.

The market capitalization of the stablecoin USDC, of which Circle is the issuer, is now $32.8 billion. The asset ranks second after USDT, which is valued at $112 billion.
