TON Launches Bitcoin Bridge

The TON Foundation has released a whitepaper for the TON Teleport BTC project, which allows the transfer of tokenized Bitcoin (tgBTC) between blockchains. This bridge will provide access to the TON ecosystem for users, enabling interactions with exchanges, lending platforms, and decentralized applications.

tgBTC will offer high liquidity and create earning opportunities in DeFi by allowing users to profit from the asset. tgBTC holders will also be able to take out loans in stablecoins and participate in liquidity pools within the TON ecosystem, enhancing Bitcoin’s liquidity and utility.
